What can I do with kathaa? |

Kathaa is a plug-in software to your MSN Messenger or Yahoo!
Messenger. You can now type in Bengali directly in your Messenger
and send to your Messenger friends. They must also have kathaa
installed to be able to see Bengali.

How do I start using kathaa? |
|
A. Kathaa is a plug-in software
to your MSN Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger. While using kathaa
you must keep the box open at all times. To use kathaa:
1. Download and install kathaa.
2. Log in to your MSN or Yahoo! Messenger.
3. Launch kathaa.
4. Choose BanglaFontNormal from the font list in MSN or Yahoo!
Messenger.
5. Type in Bengali. For help refer to Typing help from menu.
To write in English, choose English in the top panel of the
kathaa box and an English font in your Messenger font list.
To switch back to Bengali, choose Bengali in the top panel
of the kathaa box and BanglaFontNormal as before.

English- Shift + Ctrl + 0

I am getting garbled scripts when I type. Why? |
| A. It could
be because you have selected Bengali (on the top panel of kathaa
box) but have not selected BanglaFontNormal from the Messenger
font list. Also, check that your Internet Explorer version is
6.0. You may download IE6 from www.microsoft.com/windows/ie.

A. It could
be because
a) You have selected English (on the top panel of kathaa box)
but have not selected BanglaFontNormal from the Messenger font
list.
b) You are not following the Bengali keying as outlined in Typing
help or Detailed tutorial.
c) Check that your Internet Explorer version is 6.0. You may
download IE6 from www.microsoft.com/windows/ie
