Army operations against anti-talks ULFA to continue : GoC 4 Corps

Tezpur, Jul 25 (UNI) GoC 4 Corps Lt Gen B S Jaswal today reiterated that Army operations against the anti-talks ULFA factions would continue.

He said the security forces were prepared to neutralize any attempt to carry out subversive activities by the outfit, especially during the coming fortnight.

The ULFA engages in serial bombings and killings ahead of its 'Martyrs day' on July 27 and the Independence Day.

Security has been strengthened across the state not to allow the militants to resort to violence, Lt Gen Jaswal said.

On counter-insurgency operations, he said, '' Army operations against the anti-talks factions of the ULFA will continue as before.'' He appreciated the peace initiative by the ‘A’ and ‘C’ companies of the 28th battalion of the ULFA.
