 Debashis Chakraborty
A feeling of profound angst is contained in his earlier works. They are, in his words ‘monologues of decadent times, of an all-pervasive crisis of values and of alienation' reflected in his ‘painter's desire to show off lines, colors and structures'. Color and pattern applied onto canvas evolve in his work, into turbulent compositions of unpremeditated form.
